By entering this competition you consent to Geffen using any and all information supplied by you in the manner as set out in these terms and conditions.

The term ‘personal information’ carries the same meaning as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.

For the purposes of these terms and conditions the phrase ‘personal information’ includes (but is not limited to): Name and surname, telephone number and e-mail address.

Any personal information relating to this competition that is ‘shared’ on any form of social media by the entrant will be visible to all users of said social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc).

When choosing to share information relating to this competition through social media the terms and conditions of the relevant social media platforms will apply to the entrant. Geffen does not take liability for the processing of personal information by any social media platforms. Geffen does not regulate or control how such social media platforms use or process your personal information. It is thus important to familiarize yourself with the privacy policies and terms and conditions of third parties and platforms for social media prior to engaging in their use.

Should Geffen be sold or incorporated into another business entity, your personal information may be disclosed to relevant third parties (new owners, advisors, etc).

Geffen will do the following when dealing with entrant’s personal information:

  1. All personal information will be treated as confidential.
  2. Certain security and administrative efforts will be made to protect the confidentiality of the
    personal information.
  3. Geffen will as soon as is reasonably possible notify entrants upon the discovery that there are
    reasonable grounds to believe that any entrant’s personal information may have been compromised or accessed/acquired by any unauthorised third party.
  4. Geffen will do all that is reasonably necessary to protect your personal information, however
    Geffen does not accept liability of any nature whatsoever arising from the unauthorised or unlawful disclosure and/or use of entrant’s personal information by third parties who are not under the immediate control of Geffen.
  5. If you disclose your personal information to any third party other than Geffen, Geffen shall not be
    liable for any loss or damage, howsoever arising, suffered by you as a result of the disclosure of your information to such third parties.
  6. Geffen is a global company and by consenting to these terms and conditions you are consenting to
    your personal information being transferred out of the Republic of South Africa.

Geffen will use your personal information to provide you with information and communicate with you, as well as better respond to any queries that you may have. Your personal information will be used to facilitate a relationship between yourself and Geffen.

Geffen may also use your personal information for purposes of statistical and data analysis, within the ordinary course of Geffen’s business, promotion and marketing of the business.
Geffen may contact you be e-mail, telephone, post from time to time, on each occasion that this occurs you will be given fair opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of such communications.
